West: 5000 Waste Disposal Canes

Bafoussam (Mifi) - The SDO for Mifi, Fofie Mboueda Christophe, has praised the Bafoussam City Mayor, Tafam Roger, for his understanding to enhance and promote the fight against dirt (hygiene and sanitation) in the city of Bafoussam, by providing 5,000 waste disposal canes to the population of the city. He said the waste disposal canes will help transform the city of Bafoussam. Fofie Christophe was addressing the population of Bafoussam on 13, November,2025, while presiding over a ceremony of the distribution of the waste disposal canes, offered by the Bafoussam city council. While thanking the, mayor Tafam Roger, for mobilizing the population of the city to wage the war against dirt, the SDO, used the occasion to thank the various stakeholders, who joined the administration and security operative to sustain and contain what he described as post-election demonstration in Bafoussam, stressing that it was that join efforts that the attempted emancipation process was reversed. For his part, the Bafoussam city mayor, Tafam Roger, said the city council in its determination to ensure a clean and protected environment, signed a pact with the waste disposal company HYSACAM, to supply 10,000 waste disposal canes, adding that the 5,000 being distributed was the first phase.
