DCC First Fruits: 2,000 Visitors Sensitised

T he first two days of the Dia­ mond Capital Convention (DCC), initiated by the licen­ sed brokerage firm, Almasi Capital & Advisory, have attracted significant interest, with approxima­ tely 3,500 people registered on its website and thousands of visitors attending the event. According to the Capital Market Director of Almasi, Arnold Dongmo, the gathering has already given exhibiting companies access to a large pool of qualified visitors and potential clients. “On the first day, attendance reached about 1,200 and 750 people by mid­ day on the second day, and we are expecting to hit between 2,500 and 3,000 visitors by the end of today,” he said. Beyond attendance figures, the convention has created oppor­ tunities for exhibitors to open ac­ counts and build relationships with people passionate about finance and interested in transforming and de­ veloping the financial market. To the Marketing and Communication Officer of Stoneshed Asset Mana­ gement, Keafo-on Socrates, they have interacted with 20% of the DCC visitors and educated them on the financial market. “The first edition of the DCC is praiseworthy, and events like this are necessary to de­ mocratise and actually push out the information for more people to be aware of the financial market”, Keafo- on Socrates added. One of the offi­ cials of the Union Bank of Cameroon, Ghislain Sataipoum, said that the initiative by Almasi will be of great impact. “Today, through these joint- stock companies, there are many ways to raise funds on our local plat­ forms to finance the economy.
