Breaking Barriers : NGO Empowers Girls Through Education, Mentorship

This was during the Audacious Voices Back-to-School Comprehensive Assistance Package for the 2025-2026 academic year recently.

In an effort to empower young girls and bridge the educational divide in the country, Audacious Voices, a Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), has launched a comprehensive initiative to provide vital support to disadvantaged girls across all ten regions. The organisation officially unveiled its Audacious Voices Back-to-School Comprehensive Assistance Package for the 2025-2026 academic year in Mamfe, South West Region, on 29 October 2025.
During the event, which was presided over by a representative of the Divisional Officer of Mamfe, Silo Kate Njonje née Ogwashi, over 50 girls, including underprivileged students from four secondary schools in Manyu Division, received support in the form of didactic materials, hygiene products, PTA fees, and more. According to Professor Elizabeth Tataw Ayukako, Chief Executive Officer of Audacious Voices, the organisation's goal is to alleviate poverty and unlock potential. She stated that the association has taken a bold step in shaping the future of women. "This is not just about financial and material support. It is about possibility, potential, and power. We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to reach her full potential, regardless of her background or circumstances,” Prof. Elizabeth Ayukako explained. The CEO added that the organisation's aim is to empower these young women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to succeed in life and become leaders in their communities.
