A one-day B2B Turkish-Cameroonian economic exchange forum has taken place in Douala with both business committees strengthening ties. The event provided a crucial platform for investors from both nations to gain firsthand insights into available investment opportunities. The Douala business forum on April 24 is a continuation of the vision launched at the first Cameroon-Türkiye B2B forum in 2023 which has materialised and gained momentum, becoming a tangible reality, exemplified by Orpex Organic Fertilizer. According to the president of the Turkish-Cameroonian Businessmen’s Association (Turcaba), Dr. Fabrice Funiba, the second Türkiye-Cameroon B2B forum has brought in more investors to share ideas and experiences. Dr. Funiba highlighted Orpex as a successful Turkish-Cameroonian partnership producing organic fertilizers locally, creating value, employment, and contributing to Cameroon's agricultural self-sufficiency. He emphasized the need for forums to raise awareness of such successes, build new connections, and foster further collaboration. He also drew attention to the "Go Africa Export Fair Istanbul," a key event promoting Turkish-African collaboration. Dr. Funiba positioned the fair as a vital platform for exporters, manufacturers, communities, and startups aiming to shape the future of AfroTurkish cooperation.
